Preparation Staff asked 1 month ago

Dengue fever is another mosquito-borne disease, caused by the Dengue virus (DENV) and transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. It is common in warm, humid climates.

Common Symptoms of Dengue:

  • High fever (above 104°F/40°C)

  • Severe body and joint pain (“breakbone fever”)

  • Skin rashes (red spots or patches)

  • Severe headache and eye pain

  • Nausea, vomiting, and fatigue

Severe cases can lead to Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), which causes internal bleeding, low blood pressure, and organ failure.
