Nowadays, people are suffering from various diseases. If they take physical exercise everyday, they can enjoy a sound health. Now, write a composition on "The Importance of Physical Exercise".

The Importance of Physical Exercise Or, Physical Exercise

Physical exercise means the movement of the limbs and organs of our body according to rules. Physical exercise is essential for sound health. It helps our body to be active. By taking regular physical exercise, we can keep ourselves fit.

There are different kinds of exercises like free hand exercises, yoga, running, swimming, weight lifting, gymnastics, acrobatics etc. Different kinds of games such as football, cricket, hockey, badminton etc. are good forms of health exercises. All the exercises are not equally suitable to all. All kinds of games and sports are quite good for the young. On the other hand, walking is good for people of all ages. Free hand exercises help one to get sound health. Weight lifting is for professional players. For the children, running, swimming and playing ordinary games are suitable.

The importance of physical exercise in our practical life is great. It helps us to build a sound body. It improves our health and makes a man strong and active. There is a proverb 'A sound mind lies in a sound body'. If the body is unsound, the mind will be unsound. A sound mind depends on regular exercise. It also improves our power of digestion. It keeps a man free from diseases. However, anything excessive is bad. One should take exercises following the rules with proper diet and rest, otherwise he will suffer.

In our country, some people do not take physical exercise. They think that it is unnecessary and mere killing of time. But, in fact, they are wrong. By taking physical exercise, we can remain healthy and do our respective jobs properly. Without physical exercise, our health breaks down and we suffer from various diseases and complications. We should take exercise according to our age and condition of our body. Then we can be benefited easily from every kind of exercise.

Physical exercise is necessary to build a nation. Healthy children are the healthy citizens of the future. So, we should all take physical exercise regularly as a part and parcel of our daily life to live a healthy and happy life.
