A mobile phone is a cellular phone which does not have any wire (তার). It works through radio system. It can be carried and used anywhere. Nowadays, a cable connection (তারের সংযোগ) is not needed to converse (আলাপ করা) with others. It is mobile phone through which we can contact (যোগাযোগ করা) with our friends and relatives. There is variety (রকম) of it. Some of them cover wide range and some of them are short ranged. It is now available throughout our country. The remarkable (উল্লেখযোগ্য) mobile companies are Grameen Phone, Aktel, Banglalink and Citycell. Many people are using them for their necessity and many are doing just for fashion. Many people use mobile phones as a fashion. People of all classes and sectors use it. Its price is not high. For instant communication (তাৎক্ষণিক যোগাযোগ), mobile phone is matchless (অতুলনীয়ভাবে) beneficial to us. However, it has also some demerits. Many young students are. using it too much. It is a great loss of money of their guardians and a great blow (আঘাত) to their future. So we should use mobile phone according to the necessity.

মোবাইল ফোন এমন ধরনের সেলুলার ফোন যা তারবিহীন। এটি রেডিও ব্যবস্থার মাধ্যমে কাজ করে। এটি যেকোনো জায়গায় বহন কিংবা ব্যবহার করা যায়। আজকাল অন্যের সাথে আলাপ করার জন্য আর তারের প্রয়োজন হয় না। এটা হলো মোবাইল ফোন যার মাধ্যমে আমরা আমাদের বন্ধু ও আত্মীয়স্বজনের সাথে যোগাযোগ করতে পারি। অনেক ধরনের মোবাইল ফোন রয়েছে। কিছু মোবাইলের পরিধি অনেক দূর বিস্তৃত এবং কিছু মোবাইলের পরিধি সংক্ষিপ্ত। আমাদের সমগ্র দেশে এটা এখন সহজলভ্য। উল্লেখযোগ্য মোবাইল কোম্পানিগুলো হলো গ্রামীণ ফোন, একটেল, বাংলালিঙ্ক এবং সিটিসেল। যা প্রয়োজনে ব্যবহৃত হওয়া উচিত তা আজ ফ্যাশন হিসেবে ব্যবহৃত হয়। অনেক লোক ফ্যাশন হিসেবে মোবাইল ব্যবহার করে। সর্ব স্তরের মানুষ তা ব্যবহার করে। এর মূল্য এত বেশি নয়। তাৎক্ষণিক যোগাযোগের জন্য মোবাইল ফোন খুবই উপকারী। যাইহোক, এটার কিছু অসুবিধাও আছে। তরুণ ছাত্ররা মোবাইল ব্যবহার করছে কিন্তু এটা আসলে তাদের অভিভাবকদের আর্থিক ক্ষতি এবং ছাত্রদের ভবিষ্যতের জন্য বিশাল ক্ষতি। প্রয়োজন অনুযায়ী আমাদের মোবাইল ফোন ব্যবহার করা উচিত।
